A well-known view for walkers and runners along Old Coach Road, the colours change here over the seasons, and I love the glow of the light oranges and greens in the summer.

One of my favourite local walks, I had wanted to capture the feeling of the light hitting the tops of the hills and was experimenting with just a few colours on the pallette.

Kaikoura Rocks

I loved the texture of the rocks in foregound, and the light hitting the top section was echoed by the snowy mountains in the distance.

The Island

This painting was inspired by a recent trip to Tititiri Matangi, an island reserve a short boat trip from Auckland, NZ.
